TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges (RQF)

 

This qualification will focus on the awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges, and its effects. Learners will develop in-depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care sector.

 

Course duration: 150 hours of study, flexible around you

(e.g. Approximately 10 weeks, based on 15 hours of study per week)

 

This would be valuable to learners already working in education and health and social care settings; and will allow progression onto further education, and into a variety of job roles and occupational areas within health and social care, or education settings.

Modules

To be awarded the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges (RQF), learners are required to pass three mandatory units:

  • Unit 1: Understand behaviour that challenges
  • Unit 2: Understand how to support positive behaviour
  • Unit 3: Understand the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges
  • Unit 4: Understand the role of reflection and support for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements to enrol on this course, however, learners should have a minimum of Level 1 English and Maths understanding; and may find it helpful if they have already achieved a Level 1 qualification in healthcare, social care, childcare or supporting learning. 

Assessment

Each unit is followed by a group of assessment questions, designed to test your knowledge of the material you have been studying.

Once you have completed each unit assessment, you will submit them to your tutor for marking.

Your tutor may highlight areas where you need a little more information to ensure you fully understand each area in order to pass the unit. 

 

Achievement of this qualification will help support progression onto further education, and into a variety of job roles and occupational areas within health and social care, or education settings.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to further education, such as: 

  • Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities
  • Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism

  • Ensure that you have not already completed the course you wish to enrol on.
  • Must be a UK National; You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years OR be able to prove your residency status, for example, Indefinite leave to remain, settled status or you are an Asylum seeker who has been in the UK for more than 6 months.
